Tom Cana
General Manager
Beginning as a volunteer more than a decade ago, Tom has worked in many departments at Sunrise. Now, as General Manager, he credits his experience with giving him the unique insight he brings to The Apsley. What drives him is championing the quality of care for residents while creating a community authentic to Manhattan, a community that residents feel at home in. He considers everyone at The Apsley a member of his extended family, and works to ensure every team member treasures the relationships they have with the residents. A lifelong Yankees and Giants fan, he loves discussing the highs and lows of New York sports.Margaret Quinn
Executive Director
Margaret has a long tenure with Sunrise Senior Living—working with the company for 20 years. Her previous positions at Sunrise include Reminiscence Coordinator and Area Sales Manager. Margaret loves meeting new residents and their families. She looks forward to hearing residents’ stories and helping them continue living a life filled with meaning and purpose. Margaret is grateful to her fellow team members who work hard to create a caring and engaging home for our residents. In her spare time, Margaret enjoys playing with her granddaughter, swimming, going for long walks, and cooking new recipes.Kfir Kertes
Executive Chef
With more than 20 years of professional cooking and kitchen management experience, Kfir champions fresh and healthy cuisine using locally sourced ingredients. Early in his career, Kfir worked as both a chef and manager for several Israeli hotels. In 2013, he brought his culinary skills to New York City, where he served as Executive Chef for Rockstar Hotels, Club Quarters, and Z NYC Hotel. At The Apsley, Kfir is passionate about creating exciting dishes with attractive presentations—looking to create an elevated and remarkable dining experience for all residents.Aaron Feinstein
Program Director
As an acclaimed theater and film director and arts educator, Aaron is proud to join the team at The Apsley. He was formerly the Director of People, Arts, and Culture at the luxury senior living The Watermark at Brooklyn Heights. It was there that he brought elevated programming and entertainment to older adults and was featured for his creative programming in the New York Times. Aaron is also the founder of Actionplay, a non-profit arts organization dedicated to providing equal access to the arts for neurodivergent, autistic, and disabled artists and performers. Aaron is a lover of all music and sits on the board of the Friends of the Budapest Festival Orchestra.
