We are thrilled to share that 19 Sunrise Senior Living communities were recently recognized with a 2019 Bronze—Commitment to Quality Award, bringing Sunrise’s total number of Quality Awards earned to more than 280, the most of any single assisted living provider.
The award, which is modeled on the core values and criteria of the Baldridge Performance Excellence Program, is presented by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) as part of its National Quality Award Program.
“We’re so proud of this esteemed recognition because it spotlights the outcomes driven by our compassionate, dedicated Sunrise team members, their commitment to continuous improvement, and the work they do each day to help ensure quality of life for seniors,” said Sue Coppola, chief clinical officer for Sunrise. “In caring for our residents, we create a personalized plan that addresses all aspects of their wellbeing, including physical and mental health, and social engagement. We also regularly assess our residents and tailor their plans so they can maintain a lifestyle that is comfortable and fulfilling for them. The Bronze National Quality Award reinforces the efficacy of our approach and the positive impact it is having on our residents and their families.”
The National Quality Award Program includes three progressive levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Trained examiners review each member application to determine if the center has met the criteria. The Bronze National Quality Award recognizes long-term and post-acute communities’ commitment to striving for quality improvement through a systematic approach.
