We are thrilled to share that 25 Sunrise Senior Living communities were recently recognized with a 2019 Silver—Achievement in Quality Award, bringing Sunrise’s total number of Quality Awards earned to more than 300, the most of any single assisted living provider.
The award, which is modeled on the core values and criteria of the Baldridge Performance Excellence Program, is presented by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) as part of its National Quality Award Program.
"The Silver Quality Award validates our evidenced-based, systematic approach to care and services, and our commitment to continuous performance improvement," said Sue Coppola, chief clinical officer for Sunrise. “The compassionate individuals who care for our residents work together to continually evaluate and build on the personalized care and services we provide in our Sunrise communities. The AHCA/NCAL Quality Awards are an esteemed recognition within the health care continuum, and we are thrilled that our devotion to the senior population has been officially recognized at the national level.”
The National Quality Award Program includes three progressive levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Trained examiners review each member application to determine if the center has met the criteria. The Silver-level award recognizes each community’s continued endeavor to learn and develop effective approaches that help improve organizational performance and enhance residents’ overall well-being.
